Truck Problem

Lines of sight are blocked, trucks parked and idling, fumes blowing into the house; all hours of the day and night. Occasionally a ticket is written, but more often the situation is tolerated.

One tenth of our property was seized to widen Applegarth Rd. … but only to make a truck parking lane in front of the shopping center. The road needs to be re-lined for traffic, signage replaced, and the law enforced. The center’s owners and tenets need to assume responsibility…simply don’t sell to those trucks left parked and idling. Wawa posts the “no Idling” law, but does nothing to help the situation.

It is really asking a lot to call the police, wait, sign a complaint, or see a summons issued. More often than not, the truck just pulls away before enforcement arrives…so the situation is given tacit consent.

This shopping center was approved as a “neighborhood” business, not a 24 hour interstate truck stop!

The truck parking and idling goes on 24/7. In this clip- Movie2truck -you can see how traffic thinks there are two lanes and the truck is in motion, cautiously this lucky car passes.

There have always been trucks parking on Applegarth Rd.; but the volume is now becoming annoying.
